Writing Rules

  1. The International Journal of Ethnopedagogy (IJE) is an ethnopedagogy journal that accepts manuscripts in English and Turkish. The journal is published in June and November.
  2. Manuscripts should be uploaded to the system in the form of a Microsoft Word file as *.doc or *.docx from the ethnopedagogy.com/makale-gonder/ address.
  3. Manuscripts should have Turkish and English abstracts of between 200-250 words.
  4. Palatino Linotype font should be used in manuscripts.
  5. The text should be set to 11 point font size. Titles of sections such as tables, figures and graphs should also be set to 11 point font. In tables, font size can be selected in the range of 8-10 points with the same font. Line spacing should be set to 1.15.
  6. A space should not be left before and after paragraphs, and instead of the spacing option, 6 pt spacing should be selected before and after.
  7. All titles in manuscripts should be written in 12 point font size and in bold. All main section titles and the first letter of secondary titles should be written in capital letters.
  8. Page margins should be set to 2.5 cm from each side on A4 paper.
  9. In the presentation of manuscripts, the title, author names, abstract, keywords, introduction, material and method, findings, conclusion and discussion, and references sections should be included.
  10. In manuscripts accepted for publication, author names should be written in full and should not include titles.
  11. Turkish manuscripts shoulds have an extended abstract (English) between 750-1000 words.
  12. Manuscripts should contain a maximum of 7000 words, excluding the extended abstract and references section.
  13. The references section should be set to 10 point font size and in accordance with APA 7 format, as in the following:
